Address for service

ul. Legionów 68/2, 81-413 Gdynia, Polska

The app: your data stays on your iPhone

Renelly for iPhone works without an account, sign-in or bank connection. The app has no advertising or analytics. Your subscription list stays on your device and is not sent to us. The app downloads only exchange rates from the server. Catalogue prices are built into the app and change with its App Store updates. Voluntary catalogue reports are sent separately, as described below.

Stored on the phone: the name and goals you choose at the start, if you give them; the subscriptions you add (name, amount, currency, frequency, dates, plan, category, status, usage marks, notes and payment history); reminder settings; the catalogue region; your catalogue reports, if you write any.

Reminders, widgets and Siri

Reminders are local notifications: your iPhone schedules them, without our server. They show the service name and the amount, including on the Lock Screen if your notification settings allow it. Widgets read a summary of upcoming payments stored on the same iPhone; we don’t receive it. Siri and Shortcuts can tell you the monthly total and the next payment; the app prepares the answer on the phone.

Copies and deleting data

“Export data” creates a file with your profile, subscriptions, notes and reminder settings. You save it wherever you choose, and from then on its protection depends on that place. An iPhone backup in iCloud or on a computer may include Renelly’s data; that is an Apple service you control in the phone’s settings.

“Delete all data” in the app’s Settings removes subscriptions, profile and reports from the phone. Deleting the app also removes its data from the phone. Exported files and phone backups stay where you saved them.

Catalogue reports

A report contains the service, plan, country, type of problem, your description and, if you add one, a proposed price with its source. Once saved, the app sends it to our server (renelly.app); without an internet connection it waits on the phone and goes out later. It does not contain your name, an account, your email address or your list of subscriptions. Please don’t put personal data in the description.

We keep reports in a database to check the catalogue and prices, and we get an email about each new one. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in an accurate catalogue (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR). We keep a report until it has been reviewed, for no more than 12 months. We don’t store IP addresses: to limit the number of reports from one connection we use a one-way hash, which we delete after a day. No report changes the catalogue automatically.

Exchange rates

To count subscriptions in other currencies in your region’s currency, the app downloads the National Bank of Poland’s average rates (table A) from renelly.app at most every 12 hours. The request contains nothing about you or your subscriptions, and we keep nothing from it. The conversion happens on the phone.

Renelly Premium

Renelly is free with two subscriptions. You buy Renelly Premium once in the app, through the App Store. Apple handles the payment: we receive neither your card details nor your Apple Account, and Apple only gives us aggregated sales reports. The app checks the purchase on the phone through the App Store and only remembers that Premium is unlocked. Apple sets the payment and refund rules.

Launch email

Sign-ups are closed: the form is no longer on the site. The rules below apply to addresses saved earlier.

On renelly.app you can leave your email address to get a single message about Renelly’s launch on the App Store and Google Play. We then store your email address, the version of the page where you sign up (language and country), when you gave your consent and which version of its wording you agreed to. We send nothing else to that address: no newsletter and no advertising.

The legal basis is your consent (Article 6(1)(a) GDPR), which you give by ticking the box in the form. Giving your address is voluntary, but without it we can’t tell you about the launch. You can withdraw your consent at any time by writing to hello@renelly.app or to the address above; we then delete your address. Withdrawing consent does not affect the lawfulness of processing before the withdrawal.

We keep the address until the launch email has been sent and then delete it, no later than 12 months after you sign up, even if the launch is delayed. Sign-ups are stored in a Cloudflare database in the European Union. To limit attempts from one connection we use a one-way hash of the IP address, which we delete after a day; the IP address itself is not stored. If we use an email delivery service to send that message, we will name it in this policy before sending.

Contacting us

If you write to a Renelly email address, we process your address and the content of your message to reply (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR). We keep the correspondence until the matter is resolved and then for no more than 12 months, unless it is needed to establish, exercise or defend legal claims.

Processors

The website, the server, the database of reports and sign-ups (in the European Union) and email forwarding are run by Cloudflare, Inc. We receive email in a Google mailbox (Gmail). These companies process data on our behalf. Data may be transferred to the United States; such transfers rely on the European Commission’s adequacy decision (EU-US Data Privacy Framework) and on standard contractual clauses. We don’t sell data or use it for advertising or profiling.

Your rights

You have the right to access your data, to have it corrected or erased, to restrict its processing, to data portability for data we process with your consent, and to object to processing based on legitimate interests. You can withdraw a consent at any time. Write to hello@renelly.app. You can also complain to a data protection supervisory authority, in particular in the EU country where you live or work; the authority competent for us is the President of the Polish Personal Data Protection Office. We make no decisions based solely on automated processing.

Links in the app

Links to the services’ help pages and to price sources open in the browser. The owners’ own rules apply on those pages.

Website

Calculations stay on your device. The list is saved after you allow settings storage.

Website analytics — Google Analytics 4

With consent, we measure page views, guide and calculator use, and clicks to the App Store to improve the site. The legal basis is consent (GDPR Article 6(1)(a)). Refusal does not limit the site. Withdraw consent using Cookie settings in the footer.

Google receives a cookie identifier, page addresses without query parameters or fragments, events, language, selected market, and basic browser and device information. We send no amounts, subscription names, search text or email addresses. Advertising features and Google Signals are off. Google also receives the IP address when connecting and uses it to derive an approximate country and region. Granular location collection is off.

The _ga and _ga_* cookies last up to 180 days, without renewal on return visits. Withdrawal stops measurement and deletes these browser cookies. GA4 event and user data retention is set to 2 months. Google deletes expired data in its monthly deletion cycle; aggregate reports may remain available longer. Withdrawal does not affect the lawfulness of earlier processing.

The provider is Google Ireland Limited; processing may involve Google LLC in the USA. Transfers follow Google's terms, using the EU-US Data Privacy Framework or standard contractual clauses as applicable.

Changes

If the app or the site starts processing data differently, we will update this policy before that version is released and change the date at the top.
